I forked out £21 for the Sol de Janeiro spray from the TikTok shop but it was such a disaster… don’t make my mistake

A BARGAIN-LOVING beauty lover has advised fellow social media users to be careful when ordering from the popular TikTok shop.

Shopping online can be great – or end up a total flop, and unfortunately for @secretxox_3, it was the latter.

Whilst scrolling on TikTok, the young woman spotted what she thought was the viral and influencer-loved Sol de Janeiro range.

The set, which cost her £21, came with the spray, Bum-Bum cream and what appeared to be the popular body lotion.

Not one to sleep on a bargain, the cash-savvy social media user decided to place an order, as she reckoned this would make for the perfect gift for someone.

Sadly, however, little did she realise that instead of the posh goodies the delivery driver would arrive with something completely different – Sol Janeiro.

Although the packaging was quite similar, the shopper was immediately disappointed after realising her grave mistake.

Instead of the viral Bum-Bum cream, which retails for £21, the TikTok super fan received Lakerain Moisturising Body Cream in an orange box.

Meanwhile, the bright orange box with ‘Perfume‘ written all over it contained a body fragrance mist – and whilst it did look like a close match, it was not the real deal the young woman had expected.

”I give up,” the beauty fan wrote in the caption of her video.

”The picture looked like the original but I got this!”

To make matters even worse, she added that the products also had a vile aroma – a scent she described like ”hand sanitiser”.

Dozens raced to comments to share their thoughts, with one chuckling: ”You got so not janeiro.”

Someone else chimed in: ”Omg I had the exact same!!

”I was disgusted! Never buying from TikTok shop again!”

”I got exactly the same, sobs,” a third revealed their disaster.

”Same, I got a lip balm but you can tell it’s just been printed on,” another penned.

Want to treat yourself to the viral skincare must-have?

Boots are currently selling Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Crush Cheirosa 62 Perfume Mist 90ml for £22 – and the product is also available on ASOS for the same price.

The spray, which is perfect for both your hair and body, boasts notes of pistachio and almond, as well as vanilla, salted caramel and sandalwood.
