I like “old lady” perfumes.

I’ve just gotten back into fragrance. I have also discovered that I inherently am drawn to what seem to be deemed “old lady” perfumes. Some examples include White Diamonds, Shalimar, Chanel No 5 etc. I haven’t purchased any of those *yet* but I plan to.

It made me wonder- what makes certain scents “mature”? Is it because they have been around for a long time? Is it that certain notes are just related to old people?

Anyone here wear a “mature” scent? Have you had any negative reactions?
