Perfumes: a father-daughter thing!

Anyone here share their perfumes with their kids of a different gender? It is not easy because of the general belief that men and women prefer different notes. I don’t strictly subscribe to that concept.

Perfumes: a father-daughter thing!

Anyone here share their perfumes with their kids of a different gender? It is not easy because of the general belief that men and women prefer different notes. I don’t strictly subscribe to that concept.

Fragrances have opened up a new world to share with my 17-year old daughter. It also makes me look like a cool dad. I am 57M Indian and my daughter is 17F Indian/Caucasian. So the different notes produce different moods and nostalgia in us (just a hypothesis). She prefers typical vanilla and/or sandalwood base notes. I prefer notes that project Indian-ness, such as incense, rose, jasmine, musk etc.

Here are some we share: Guerlain Santal Royal, Gucci Memoire D’une Odeur

Here are some I bought for her, though I don’t think they fit me: Chanel No 5, Guerlain Shalimar & Sansara, Gucci Accenti.

I would love to hear from other who share fragrances with family members.
