Tips for getting into fragrance/perfume

Hi everyone 🌸 I’m 24 (F, UK based) and have only recently started wearing perfume. I’d like to start becoming more knowledgeable about perfume, what type is best for each occasion, etc. I know a lot of it is instinct but I can only think “oh this smells nice” and feel amazing. I’d like to be able to interpret these feelings if that makes sense! For some reference, I love Narciso Rodríguez for her edp and edt . Ive been wearing it daily but I’d like to try other perfumes. Should I try and get loads of samples? Ask an expert? Any tips are welcome! Thank you!
